Wellington TOP 10

Allen and Sue Levien look forward to your stay at Wellington TOP 10 Holiday Park. Our Park is close to the action and attractions of New Zealand’s capital city, but far enough away to enjoy peaceful surroundings on the waterfront. We offer a spacious and relaxing park with a great family atmosphere, just 12km from the Cook Strait ferry and well located for public transport.

Location

We are just 10 minutes drive from the heart of central Wellington, the capital of New Zealand, at the bottom of the North Island. We are conveniently close to the Interislander Ferry Terminal for Cook Strait crossings across to the South Island.

Wellington Harbour is one of the most picturesque in the world, with a backdrop of rolling hills. Just over an hour’s drive to the north is the famous Wairarapa wine district, well known for its wineries, gourmet food and shopping.

Attractions

There is no shortage of activities to enjoy in the Wellington region, whether you prefer exploring the great outdoors, or enjoy relaxing with a good coffee, shopping and culture. The city is well known for a thriving arts and theatre scene and is home to the New Zealand Festival of the Arts and Fringe Festival each year, as well as the annual World of Wearable Arts awards. Wellington has the reputation of having more cafés per head of population than New York City, with approximately 300 at last count.

Close to Wellington TOP 10 Holiday Park you can enjoy plenty of outdoor activities, including trout fishing, bushwalks, swimming and boating at our safe beaches, mountain biking, horse trekking, rock climbing, and golf.

Activities

The list of attractions and places to visit in Wellington is endless, including the Beehive, home of New Zealand’s parliament and many other historical sites; Te Papa - New Zealand's bold and innovative national museum; Capital E – a creative technology and performance centre for children and families; the Wellington Cable Car – which runs from Lambton Quay to Kelburn; Wellington Zoo and Wellington Botanic Gardens – over 26 hectares of unsurpassed views, unique landscape, exotic forests, native bush, colourful floral displays and gorgeous specialist gardens.

You might also want to explore the Wellington Waterfront - home to a vibrant, ever-changing atmosphere with unique features and attractions for everyone; Porirua City’s Pataka - the cultural heart of Porirua City showcasing contemporary Maori, Pacific Island and New Zealand art; Karori Wildlife Sanctuary; The Cake Tin – Westpac Arena, home of the annual Rugby Sevens, and the Weta Cave - a first-ever behind-the-scenes look at Weta Workshops and interviews with Weta co-founders including Peter Jackson.
