Attractions
You don't have to do a 4 day walk to see the best of the Abel Tasman. There are beautiful day walks starting from Totaranui. Wainui and Awaroa. The nicest beaches in the park are at the Golden Bay end and you can walk to them in only an hour or two

"Onetahua" is the Maori name for Farewell Spit and translated means "heaped up sand". Onetahua is also the name chosen for the Golden Bay Marae which was established in the 1980s.

Getting There
Pohara TOP 10 Holiday Park is located 10 km from Takaka in Golden Bay at the top of the South Island of New Zealand. It is on the doorstep of the less crowded end of Abel Tasman National Park. Pohara is 2 hours drive from Nelson and about 4 hours from the Interislander ferry terminal at Picton.
