About Orere Point TOP 10

Orere Point TOP 10 Holiday Park is a family-friendly park situated 69kms SE of Auckland at the top of the Firth of Thames. 1hr from Auckland Airport. Gateway to the Coromandel making us the perfect stopover for your first/last night in New Zealand. Relax in a peaceful, tranquil setting amongst the many trees and grassed areas. We also provide a shuttle for the Rugby World Cup for a small fee. We will take you to the nearest Train station and pick you up after the game.

Park Facilities

A large Kitchen/Dining area with BBQs and adjacent seating. Our amenities are clean, spacious and situated throughout the park. Activities for all ages including Giant Chess, snakes and ladders, basketball hoops, fresh water swimming hole and the beach only a 5min walk, great for boating, kayaking and fishing. Plenty of space for the kids.

Attractions

Tapapakanga Regional Park
An Auckland Regional Park that has plenty of open spaces for picnics.Walking tracks,swimming in the sea, fishing off the rocks.

Miranda Shorebird Centre
Miranda attracts arctic migrants - Bar-Tailed Godwit and Red Knot. Endemics-Wrybill and NZ Dotterel.
The centre is 1/2 hr drive from Orere Point and is open daily.

Miranda Hot Pools are an easy40min drive from Orere Point.Open daily until 9.30pm.

Orere Point TOP 10 Childrens Christmas Activities
We have activities for the children staying in the Holiday Park from Boxing Day until just after New Year. These activities include: mini golf, eeling, egg and spoon race, sack races and heaps more.  Parents are also encouraged to join in.

Kayaks
We have kayaks for campers to enjoy while staying at the park.  Life Jackets are provided.

Local craft and food markets
Local produce and crafts can be purchased from stalls at the local market held most weekends during summer months.  Clevedon farmers market is held every Sunday throughout the year.

Getting There

From Auckland:

  • Travel along the Southern Motorway taking Exit 451 - Manurewa/Hill Road on the left
  • Turning right and following signs to Clevedon will bring you to a large roundabout
  • Turn right and follow the signs to Orere Point approx 26kms
  • Travel 2.8kms on Orere Point Road from Orere Kawakawa Bay Road
  • Turn right before shop travelling down a tree lined driveway to the Office

From the South

  • Travel along State Highway 25 taking the Miranda turnoff
  • Travel up the Seabird Coast (approx 40mins) past Miranda and Kaiaua
  • Take Orere Point Road turn off on right
  • Turn right before shop travelling down a tree lined driveway to the Office
