Park Motel

If you enjoy just that extra little bit of luxury and comfort while away from home, a Park Motel at Ohakune TOP 10 Holiday Park is your best accommodation choice.
You’ll find 6 brand new Park Motel units here. These stylish Park Motels sleep up to 4 people, with a queen size bed in the living area and 2 single beds in a separate bedroom. All beds have electric blankets, winter weight duvets, and V-Lite blankets
Delight in double glazing, air conditioning, and quality linen on the beds. You will find a set of luxurious towels for your comfort, including 2 big spa towels, 2 bath towels and facecloths.
Each accommodation unit also features a luxurious double shower in the en-suite bathroom. Bathrooms include floor to ceiling tiling, a stylish glass vanity a hairdryer and a heated towel rail. You will also find complimentary body soap, shampoo and conditioner for your convenience.
The spacious living area has a comfortable couch to relax on, an awesome 32 inch flat screen TV, with Sky TV, DVD player and air conditioning. DVDs can be hired from reception. Wireless internet is available in all units.
The Park Motel kitchen is well equipped with a fridge / freezer, quality microwave, full stove, range hood, dish drawer, toaster, jug, cutlery, crockery, pots, pan, cooking utensils, coffee plunger. Complimentary, tea, coffee, plunger coffee, and milk are provided on arrival.
Enjoy the large, elevated, outdoor deck, overlooking a native bush reserve and stream.
Our Ohakune Park Motels are tiled throughout and serviced daily. One of the Park Motels is wheelchair friendly and has an accessible bathroom.

Self Contained Unit - 2 Bedroom

For all the comforts of home, our Self Contained Two Bedroom unit offers the ideal Mount Ruapehu accommodation for a family or small group.
With 2 bedrooms, this unit sleeps up to 6 people. The master bedroom features a comfortable queen-size bed, while the second bedroom has 2 sets of bunks for your convenience. Beds have all linen and duvets are supplied, as well as electric blankets on the queen size bed and bottom bunks.
The unit has a private shower and toilet, with a heated towel rail, heat lamps and a hair dryer (all which you will especially appreciate in winter!). Towels are provided, but please note that the unit is not serviced during your stay. If you require fresh towels, please ask at reception.
The kitchen area of your Ohakune accommodation is well set up with hot plates, a microwave, fridge / freezer, coffee / tea making facilities, toaster, and plenty of plates, cups, glasses, and cutlery. Sachets of coffee and tea area available on arrival. Wireless internet is available in all units.
The lounge is spacious, with a plush couch to relax on after a full day in the great outdoors plus a dining table with chairs to comfortably enjoy your meals. There is also a TV with Sky TV, alarm clock with radio and air conditioning for you to enjoy. On a beautiful sunny day, soak up the sun on the deck in your outdoor furniture.

Self Contained Unit - Studio

Our Self Contained Studio Units are located in a private spot at the back of our Ohakune TOP 10 holiday park, nestled beside the gurgling mountain stream. Revitalise and wake up to the sound of the birds. It is so peaceful here; you’ll just love relaxing on your outdoor furniture in the small garden area in front of the units.
Each Self Contained Studio Unit features either a comfortable queen size bed or two single beds, with electric blankets, to keep you snugly and warm in the winter months. Also enjoy a dining table and chairs, heater, alarm clock with radio and Freeview TV. The kitchen area is well equipped with a fridge / freezer, hot plates, microwave, jug, toaster and plenty of crockery and cutlery. Sachets of coffee and tea are complimentary on arrival.
Wireless internet is available in all units.
Self Contained Studio Units at our Mount Ruapehu holiday park each boast a private shower and toilet, with heated towel rails, heatlamps and a hairdryer for your convenience. All linen and towels are supplied, but please note that the unit is not serviced during your stay. If you require new towels or sheets, please ask at our Ohakune accommodation reception – we are always happy to help.
One of our Self Contained Studio Units is fully wheelchair accessible. There is a ramp and an easy access bathroom here for the convenience of guests with disabilities. Ensuite Unit

The Ensuite Unit at Ohakune TOP 10 Holiday Park offers more than just the basics.
Our Ensuite Unit has a separate bedroom with two sets of bunks. Up to 4 people can sleep here comfortably. The unit also offers a private bathroom with toilet and shower, a heated towel rail, heat lamps and a fan.
Also take pleasure in your own table and chairs, a deck with outdoor furniture, a fan heater, alarm clock and a TV for those long winter nights!
Wireless internet is available in all units.
Facilities include a jug and a toaster, plus plates, cups, glasses and cutlery. There is an electric frying pan here for you to use as well and you will find coffee and tea provided on arrival.
To cook a meal, you may use our communal kitchen or BBQ area, situated directly opposite your Ohakune accommodation. There is plenty of room to comfortably dine here as well and it is a great place to meet fellow campers that come from all sides of the globe.
All bedding and towels are provided.

Cabins

For the budget conscious traveller we have gipsy cabins and standard cabins. Please provide your own bedding and towels or hire it from reception. Our kitchen cabins has the beds already made up.

Gipsy Cabin

Our awesome looking Gipsy Cabins offer a comfortable and compact type of budget accommodation for up to 3 people. There is a bunk bed with a double bed on the bottom and a single on top that have a fitted sheet, pillow and pillowcases for your convenience.
Linen is available for hire and if you prefer, you may bring your own items. You will find a heater in the cabin and there is a small table provided. You will also find a toaster and a jug, plus plates, cups, glasses and cutlery in the Gipsy Cabin. For cooking, you can use our communal kitchen and BBQ area, which are located just a few steps from your accommodation. For creating an extra tasty meal or some culinary experimentation Jamie Oliver-style, you can use the herbs that grow in the garden right beside the communal kitchen. There is a great variety for you to choose from.
The ablution blocks can also be found at short distance from your cabin. You will always find them tidy and you will surely appreciate their real Kiwi look and feel. Wireless internet is available in all units.

Kitchen Cabin

The Kitchen Cabin at our Ohakune accommodation is the perfect place to stay for up to 4 people, and ideal if you are travelling on a budget. Enjoy one double bed and a set of bunk beds in a separate bedroom, with all bedding and towels provided.
Dine in your room or on the deck, at the table and chairs or outdoor furniture. A heater, alarm clock and flat screen TV with Freeview are also provided.
The kitchen area in the cabin is small but conveniently set out. The kitchen features a fridge / freezer, hot plates, a microwave, jug, toaster, plus plates, cups, glasses and cutlery. Everything you need to prepare a meal is provided.
A starter-pack of coffee and tea will be provided on arrival.
Wireless internet is available in all units.
You may also use the BBQ area and the herb garden outside the communal kitchen to add a little spice to your meal. All facilities can be found just a few steps from your door

Power Sites

For peaceful Powered Sites in the Tongariro National Park, look no further than the Ohakune TOP 10. There are plenty of spaces to park your motorhome or caravan or put up a tent. You can use the power supply with an approved RCD lead. If you don't have one you can hire one from reception. Please indicate when booking if you prefer a grass site or a hard site.
Our Ohakune Holiday Park offers the ultimate in communal facilities, including a well equipped communal kitchen and large dining room, clean, quality bathrooms, laundry, drying room and gas BBQs.
And if you want to relax a bit more after a day on the road, why not have a soak in our wonderful private spa bath? The Ohakune TOP 10 Holiday Park is situated within Ohakune township alongside a small stream and native bush reserve. We are ideally placed for all year round activities in the volcanic region of the central North Island. Discover Tongariro National Park and Whanganui National Park in summer or ski New Zealand largest skifield on Mt. Ruapehu (Turoa and Whakapapa) in winter.

Tongariro Alpine Crossing Transport

The Tongariro Alpine Crossing is one of NZ's best one day walk. Walk between volcanoes within Tongariro National Park - Dual World Heritage Area. Operating 7 days a week the shuttle will pick you up at 7.30 in the morning from outside our reception and drop you off in the afternoon again. Please book at reception before 8pm the day prior

Whanganui River Adventure

Discover the mystical Whanganui River with its fern & flax cloaked gorges and learn about the history of the area. Tours from 3.5 hours to 6-7 hours start from Pipiriki - the southern gateway to the Whanganui National Park and the famous Bridge to Nowhere. A free pick up is available from our Reception and TOP 10 members receive a 5% discount on all tours. Please note that tours need to be booked the day prior by 8pm at our reception. Suitable for children 6 months and over and free of charge for under 3 year old.

The Central Plateau's majestic volcanoes look stunning from the air. Mountain Bike Hire

Mountain Bike Hire is available from our reception for numerous tracks around town. The Ohakune Old Coach Road Track in the Tongariro National Park can be either done by setting out from TOP 10 or by getting transport to Horopito and just cycle back at your own leisure to Ohakune.

Helicopter Scenic Flights

Popular amongst the locals for a guaranteed good meal. Owner, Franz, will prepare you a wonderful classic European meal accompanied by your choice of fresh seasonal vegetables or salad and enjoy a fine liqueur or wine. TOP 10 Club members receive a 5% discount and best of all its just in walking distance from our Park.

Mt Ruapehu Skifileds

Mt Ruapehu is home to the most awesome natural skiing and snowboarding terrain in the country: huge snow filled basins, steep chutes, drop-offs and secret powder stashes. Mt Ruapehu offers something for everyone: fantastic learners' facilities, terrain parks for snowboarders and freeskiers of all abilities, and the best spring skiing in New Zealand. Season runs from mid June to end of October and sometimes into November. Ski Passes and learners packages are available from our reception and TOP 10 Club members receive 5%.

North from SH4 onto SH49 to Ohakune 2nd to the right into Moore Street.

South from Wanganui over Raetihi to Ohakune turn left at the BP station, go past the i-SITE then left into Moore Street.

Coming from SH1 (north or south) in Waiouru drive onto SH49 to Ohakune and go straight past the i-SITE and then left into Moore Street.
