Location
New Plymouth TOP 10 Holiday Park is situated in the coastal town of New Plymouth which is being watched over by the majestic Mt Taranaki. New Plymouth is on the rugged but stunning West Coast of the North Island of New Zealand, and was the film location for The Last Samurai movie.
Attractions
Take a walk along New Plymouth’s award-winning Coastal Walkway. It runs seven kilometers from Port Taranaki to the Waiwhakaiko River mouth, and takes you past several beaches, playgrounds, stone sculptures and the 45 metre Kinetic Wind Wand.
Activities
New Plymouth attracts the surfers to the area, as well as those that wish to swim, fish, sea kayak or wind surf. Or stay on the land and visit Mt Taranaki (Mt Egmont) for tramping and hiking, rock-climbing, skiing and snowboarding.
New Plymouth also boasts some of New Zealand’s best artists, and has a great café and restaurant culture in the town.
